Aaaaaand I'm Pondering Another Community

Once again I find myself toying with an idea for either a new community or some kind of fest focusing entirely on friendship. Something that celebrates friendship and that shows that a relationship doesn't need to be romantic to be powerful. I'd probably call it Friendship FTW. It would be multi-fandom and... that's as far as I've gotten.

I'm not really sure what I want it to be. A Big Bang (although there's already the Bromance Big Bang)? An archive to post fic focused on friendship? A prompt fest? Or, oh! How about a multi-fandom friendship focused flash fic community! That would be fun:D What do you all think? I'm leaning toward the flashfic one since that wouldn't be quite as involved as a Big Bang but more fun than just an archive. It would be a gen community because I want the focus to be on friendship, without people toeing the line by writing a story about one friend coming to another friend for relationship advice, or doing stories about the whole friends-with-benefits thing.

Opions? Does a multi-fandom friendship flashfic community sound like something you would participate in?

I have been struck not only in ff but in particular in RL by strong and lasting friendships.......strong bonding.
I witnessed it in the military and have some friendships that go back YEARS which are as strong as they were when we first met. I remember after many years of not seeing one friend, it was as though no time had elapsed when we met again.

There's polyfandom_gen, which michelel72 owns, but is quite inactive, that seems like it would be a good place to host something like this!

I would also be interested in either reading or mazbe even writing some friendship gen fic (well, it's not as if I write any other kind lol). I think it would also be a nice idea to add a rec post somewhere into the comm?

I would love to participate in something like that! I LOVE friendship; it's the best part of fanfiction IMO. :)
