Sara in her little diaper, because she was having some... major bladder issues.
I had meant to post this sooner since it was a Monday we had to put her down, but I was having trouble uploading a picture of her.
I admit that hers wasn't the saddest passing - it was sad, but not heart-wrenchingly so, but because she was practically blind, deaf and hardly present except when she had to eat or go to the bathroom. So it was like the Sara we knew had already passed on a long time ago.
It's so hard knowing the right time to put down a pet. Our policy had always been that once they weren't able to move around anymore, then it was time to let them go. But with Sara we're wondering if we should have done it sooner. Again, it was hard to know because she was eating and drinking just fine, and every time we talked about putting her down we would feel all sad and guilty because she was still able to walk, she just couldn't control her bladder.
Oi. But she's finally in a better place, now. Most likely barking at everyone and everything and driving them up the wall as she did in life with us ;)
