Springtime, I just don't know what to do with you. Because I would really love to be a fan of you, and I would be if you'd just picked a temperature range and stick with it. I don't mind going from eighty to seventy to sixty and back, I don't. I don't mind the rain because we need it badly. But it is rather annoying when you go from eighty to seventy to friggin' forty/thirty and attempt to kill off everything we've planted by frosting it over. And that's only if what the weather report is telling us is actually correct (although it is rather amusing to see the temperature for Thursday to be somewhere around the upper fifties, but on another weather site it has Thursday in the mid forties. But look at both sites again the next day and they'll say something completely different).

Portland is now the worst area in the US for allergies.
I am one of the poor souls
EVERYTHING in bloom and it all seems to hate me.

Allergies, ugh :P Spring just hats people, doesn't it? Rumor is we're supposed to get a bad allergy season what with all the rain we've been getting. Although allergies don't seem to hit me hard until summer.

one night on local news they said it is primarily trees if you are stuck in an allergic response in spring time.
Not sure as it seems it is all blooming now.
Of course being the doooooooooofus that I am, I drive down the road, windows open in back and passenger side partially open so I guess my own fault.
UGH
What I hate is one day it is 50 e.g. today and tomorrow expected to zoom up 30 degrees or more
I find it very difficult to deal with radical changes like that

I love the weather here in LA. It was 90 at 5 PM a week or two ago and hasn't been below the 70's for a while, so it's unofficially solidly into summer by now :-) (It'll stay like this until October. I love this city!)

WE would get weather like that in Texas, basically going from summer to fall then back to summer. I think I may have gotten a little too used to it ;)

This spring! I don't even know about this spring! It's 30 degrees and blizzarding tonight. HAPPY MAY, EVERYONE. *sobs*

On the flip side, my mother-in-law said it's 99 degrees in Nevada where they retired to, so I suppose that I'm glad I'm not there, either.

Weather is mean *sobs with your*

I really shouldn't complain too much, though, since we are getting lots of rain. But the cold gloominess has been getting to me emotionally - which it didn't used to before - so it makes me a little nervous whenever the cold and gloom returns.

My aunt live in Las Vegas and, yeah, I remembered the year we visited her we were drinking water like crazy. And she has a good AC! :S

Let's see.... we went from like 50's for the high the other week to 90's the last two days, then back down to the 70's over the weekend.

I think we were still having frost warnings until just about a week ago!

At least the days long monsoon rains have eased up, giving us a chance to dry out and let the farmers get crops planted.

As for allergies - I think Two Lumps said it best: http://twolumps.net/d/20130422.html

I'm in the same boat. It's in the 30's here at night and the daytime temps are all over the place. My father actually has panels (from a hot house) over the planter boxes he's growing his vegetables in. The rest of the plants are confused about what season it is. Winter temps at night and summer like temps in the day or colder than usual at this time of year.

What drives me crazy is how all-over the place all the various weather forecasts are. You'll have one site telling us it's to be in the forties, another telling us it's to be in the fifties, so we can never be certain if we need to cover things and bring the baby chickens in or just leave well enough alone. I swear it's like some site like to be pessimistic in their forecast and other sites optimistic.

Weather forecasting is the only job you can get paid a lot of money for and be wrong 99% of the time. LOL

There was a commercial that they used to play that had a forecaster telling everyone that is was going to be sunny and warm the next day. When the blizzard hit that day people were chasing him down the road throwing all kinds of things at him including arrows because they were all dressed for a day at the beach!

Pfft. I am soooo with you there. We've finally had a few days now, this week, that've made it up to the 60s/70s... and now in the next couple of days it's not only supposed to drop to the 30s/40s again, but we're supposed to get more snow. ;_;

Ack! That's horrible :( I hate those teasing snippets of comfortable warmth followed by weeks of dreary cold.
