I don't know why, but my current story seems to have given me an odd affinity for the letter M. Most of the character's last names begin with M, two character's first names begin with M, and I keep wanting to call one of the characters Marcus when his name is Jacob (a recent development).

What the crap, brain?

Ha! It's so weird when that happens. Aggravating too, if a name that really feels right pops into your head for a character, and you have that moment of happiness before you realize "Wait... no. I already have half a dozen people starting with that letter. Come ON, brain!" (Orrrrr whose names would rhyme in a ridiculous way.)

I'm used to a particular letter trying to establish dominance while I'm picking out names, but never after. And usually it's the letter J that tries to be pushy. I guess the letter M wasn't satisfied with all the M names I did choose? *shrugs*

The letter M must be trying to take over the world starting with my story; that's what's going on *nods seriously*
