Rules:
Rule 1: always post the rules
Rule 2: answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and make 10 new ones
Rule 3: tag 10 new people and link them
Rule 4: let them know you’ve tagged them

1. You're getting caught up with an old friend you haven't seen in awhile. Go out, or stay in?

- Probably stay in, but if it involves going out to eat, then, well, going out :D I am such a sucker for restaurants since it means being able to eat what you can't make at home.

2. Favorite color?

- Green, with purple coming in a close second. Green always makes me think of grass and trees and summer, while purple manages to be both a fun and gentle color. I'm also occasionally into yellow.

3. Are you allergic to anything?

- Well, thanks to some rather obnoxious health issues I now seem to be lactose intolerant, which ticks me off. I didn't use to be, but I had to take a rather strong antibiotic that screwed up my digestion, giving me yet another infection, which also cleared up but left my digestion a mess. I can still handle cheese and ice cream if I don't eat a lot of it, but straight-up milk is right out, and I loved milk.

4. What's the best gift you ever gave someone?
5. What's the worst gift you ever received?

- Number four and five I'm putting together. The gift I got wasn't the worst gift. Actually it was quite nice - a tablet - but because I didn't have any use for it and mostly found it annoying I gave it to my mom, and she's using it like crazy (in fact she uses it better than me, and computers of any kind usually frustrate her).

6. Your family's most ridiculous or embarrassing tradition

- Well, being a military family and moving around a lot with two cars (back in the day before cell phones) we used to have these CB radios we used to communicate back and forth, but mostly used them to quote our favorite movies and listen in on the truckers. Good times :D (Our favorite to quote was Disney's Robin Hood and Monty Python and the Holy Grail).

7. Favorite dinosaur? (Or if you aren't into dinosaurs, favorite bird?)

Triceratops.

8. A book or movie you'd like to change the ending of

- Parked. Not that it was a bad ending, just depressing as all crap. Plus I think it would have been interesting if *spoiler* Cathal had lived, mostly because there are so many movies with characters that are drug-addicts who die, and you see it coming a mile away, and I felt it would have been interesting had Cathal lived and a portion of the movie focused on him taking the first needed steps towards getting clean. But being an independent film with a small budget I know it wouldn't have been possible.

9. A writer or artist you think more people should know about

Michael Parkes, probably my favorite artist. He does these brilliant surreal fantasies like something out of a dream that are full of whimsy. I have this print hanging in my room and love it to bits.

10. A book, movie or TV show you didn't expect to like but actually did

- Wow, there are so many. Definitely Merlin. I had avoided that show for four seasons thinking it would annoy me, then I gave it a chance and fell head over heels for both the show and its characters. I had also misjudged Sleepy Hollow like crazy, thought for sure it would be silly or boring or try too hard to take itself seriously, and it's been nothing but awesome and even funny so far. White Collar is another I completely misjudged, again thinking it would be boring. But it's the shows I tend to misjudge that I end up loving like nothing else *cough*SGA and Andromeda*cough* (while shows I get into from the beginning I end up getting bored with, like Numbers and CSI: New York).

I'm taking a page from [livejournal.com profile] sholio's book and skipping the last two instructions, since I don't really like tagging people. So here are my questions and feel free to answer at your leisure.

1. If you could own any animal - whether it exists, doesn't exist or is extinct - what animal would it be?
2. Is there a fanfic trope you love to read but can never bring yourself to actually write?
3. If you could visit any country, what country would you want to go to and why?
4. What is your guilty pleasure movie (a movie that's just absolutely terrible but you love it, anyway) and why?
5. Is there a character (in a book, movie or show) that you used to despise only to end up adoring?
6. What book or comic book would you love to see made into a movie or TV show?
7. What book or comic book do you not want Hollywood to touch, ever?
8. What is your favorite childhood memory?
9. If you could be best friends with anyone famous, whether alive or from history, who would it be and why?
10. Kind of a sequel to question one - is there a pet you've never owned but always wanted? (including a certain breed of dog or cat.)
