Ah, Weather

I get so obsessed with the weather, sometimes, it's ridiculous. But these local weather forecasts... they can never make up their minds. You have one saying it's going to be in the upper fifties for several days and another saying the lower fifties for a few days before things get back to being actual winter, and all you can do is hope you dressed accordingly and then keep changing clothes until you're either not sweating profusely or not freezing your fingers off.

I love living in Kansas, I do, but the weather and its mood swings. It usually doesn't start messing with us by giving us a taste of spring only to rip it away and plung us back into winter until February, but this year I guess it decided to start early. And I know what you're thinking - at least you get a few days of warmer weather. But that's like giving us a movie preview for an awesome movie but never telling us when its coming out.

But as long as it doesn't pull a fast one like it did this one April, in which we thought we were knee deep in spring, with the flowers blooming and trees blossoming. Only to get hit with the most snow we had all season :P

We have been having weird weather as well. If we didn't get and continue to get in between all this rain we would have been buried under feet of snow a few months back. Though my uncle lives 4 1/2 hours north of us in the mountains and has gotten pounded by lake effect snow. Last year we got buried about this time.

Yeah, that is one positive that we're not assaulted by a ton of snow, and when we are these warms spurts get rid of it. But - and I'm speaking strictly for myself, here - I'd actually rather have snow since it's the only thing that makes winter tolerable for me (but, yeah, easy for me to say since the snow goes away pretty quick, right? ;)) I'm very much a warm weather gal which is why the warm spurts drive me crazy.

I'm pretty much a Spring and Fall person. I hate Winter and Summer. Yeah, sometimes our snow stays for weeks. We have been pretty luck this year so far. Not so much snow but we still have 6 or more weeks to get through. LOL

Man, I hate watching weather forecasts. It seems like more often than not they're wrong enough to be completely unhelpful. So I just wear layers and adjust as needed. :P

I hope you do get some decent weather, for a while at least, without some kind of backlash to pay for it afterward. *g*

It seems we may be heading into our yearly lull, in which temps stay mild for about a week or two, then remembers that, oh yeah, it's supposed to be winter :P Again I wouldn't mind, I just hate being teased like that when I'm more than ready for things to warm up.

Well, our weather told us earlier that today, we'd have rain, heavy rain at times, which is far preferable to the snow that rain could have given us instead, but also, the day started out with freezing rain, so I looked at car coated in ice and went "I'm not going anywhere" so I've burned brains out on Hallmark movies ;)

It's going from 20 to 35 degrees in a day here. (celcius remember :)) Don't look further than 4 days ahead on the forecast. It seems to lose accuracy :)
