Oh My gosh... Real Life!

I think it may be official - no more partaking in ficathons for me. I think I may have signed up for one, totally forgot about it and now it's too late to contrubute O.o I'm a little miffed at myself about that. But life has been surprisingly busy for me. Fostering cats, Ginger and her therapy, doing things with the family, teaching myself how to paint in watercolor in order to do my own book covers, sculpting, and editing. Lots and lots of editing. Normally the months seem to fly by but this month feels as though it's drifting slowly along, taking its time. Which isn't a bad thing since I adore October.

Also it seems that, for some reason, posts and messages from LJ aren't showing up on my email. So to all those who sent me birthday wishes, thank you so much! :D From now on I'll make sure to check my messages on LJ rather than relying on my useless email.

I gave up on email notices since I have had that problem for over 3 years now. LJ was no help in helping me so I gave up.

Yeah. Mine has always worked off and on, but for a while it was working pretty good. Then nothing. I swear it's like Email hates LJ or something.

Mine never worked right after that one big upgrade. I have to visit most of the blogs I belong to because I get no email notices.

Oooh, belated (or very belated!) birthday wishes to you! I'm so bad at getting to LJ these days but I hope to post at least once a month. Trouble is that fannish life is just so... meh. Too much real life stuff going on...

I love watercolors. Not a painter myself (alas) but when I go to Etsy and look up watercolors, I just drool with envy at the talent out there!

My fannish life has pretty much been reduced to reading the occasional fanfic. When the heck did real life start happening to me? :/

I love the gentleness of watercolor. I used to avoid it because it seemed like such a tricky media, but once I got a general idea of what to do I ended up getting the hang of it pretty quick. The only tricky part is color. I don't have a very good head for colors so I never know quite what to blend with what.
