Thank you everyone who suggested story ideas. I finally have one figured and I hope to get it up either before or on Halloween. It's the kind of plot I enjoy, so hopefully I'll be able to have fun with it. I've been having such trouble with my fics as of late - writing them that is. I've started two stories for the current Flashfic challenge and can't finish either one. I feel like I've been trying too hard with my fics, focusing on writing what I think other people will like rather than what I enjoy, putting way too much into them rather then letting them be what they want. I really, really need to stop that.

I also think I'm getting a bit jaded toward writing fanfic. Not to worry, I don't plan on stopping, but I really do need to take a break from it at some time. I keep saying I will "next week" because I always think that by then the plot-outline for Black Dragon will be ready, but I keep hitting snags that have stalled on me starting to write it. So, of course, wanting something to write, I turn to SGA fanfic.

Anyways, so goes the current woes of writing for me. Hopefully the Halloween fic will work out. If not, well, you'll know because it won't be posted.

You should always write for yourself not for other people. You are one of the most original and creative fic writers out there and that's why people love your stories, don't hold back because you're worried at the reaction, put your heart into it and write the story you want to write. I guarantee that you have a readership who will enjoy what you create.

I agree with pilgrim...your writing is your outlet, first and foremost. That others enjoy it too is the icing that decorates the cake. You are a phenomenal writer so...I hope the jaded feeling goes away because of all things, enjoying what you do is the important part. :)
