Why those silly, ravenous Muses (smacks them)

First off, a happy (and a little late) Thanksgiving to everyone.

Second off, I've got too many fic ideas. But they're mine, all mine! Mwhahahahahaha! *cough* anyways...

What it all comes down to is which will be written first. All chapter fics are still on hold until my original fic is done. Do Not Go Gentle (as mentioned in my FF.net bio) will be written, and will probably be the first SGA chapter fic I tackle when I get back into chapter fics. Synchronus Reality may or may not be second, depending on if I still want to write it (I may come up with a better idea. Who knows?) But both have been outlined. Then there's the story that required research into facilities that take care of those with mental handicaps. That's still under works.

In the mean time, I've been coming up with a lot of long one-shots. One in particular that's been tugging at me, once again, requires a little research.

Though I've seen the SG-1 episodes with Vala and have a basic understanding of her character, I don't exactly have her grasped. So I have a few  one question.

1. Does she have a symbiote in her? I thought I read or heard somewhere that she does... or did.
2. Does anyone know of any good (non-sexual and non-slash) stories that, you feel, best portray her?
3. I know the bracelet that forced her and Daniel to stick fairly close together eventually came off or something, but I can't, for the life of me, remember how.

The help would be much appreciated.

For the record, I do not plan on writing any kind of a pairing story with her. What I have in mind is a friendship.

Oooooh I'd love to read a Vala and John friendship fic (though we all know she'd flirt with him endlessly), and although I never saw the SGA/SG1 crossover, I've alwayus wanted to know if Cam and John ever knew each other.

For what I have in mind, Vala's flirting isn't going to have much of an affect on poor John. I'm still tweaking this story so it may be a while before I write it, although I can't wait to do so. It's actually a very sweet fic.

And I think Cam and Sheppard did talk for a little - Sheppard gave him a lemon to threaten Rodney with, but that's all I know.

Sorry to butt in, I was browsing your LJ and read your post about Vala. I know nothing about SG-1, I've only watched two episodes and one of them was SG1 10x3 The Pegasus Galaxy, which I *cough* d/l *cough* yesterday, because of XParrot's story. Here's the link to her story:

I enjoyed the episode (it wasn't that OOC), but seeing it after reading X-Parrot's background fic it was even better.
