3. Where do you live: Bergen, Norway
4: What are you studying/What are you working as: I’m a law student.
5. What makes you happy: Small things really. Like a nice warm day, a nice view, meeting someone I haven’t seen in ages, getting an update on a good story I’m reading etc. It really doesn’t take much to make me happy. I think it’s important to enjoy the small things in life too.
6. What are you listening to now/have listened to last: The last song I think was something from Garth Brooks that my sister gave me.
7. What is particularly good/bad about my LJ: Well, it’s a great why to get to know people. It’s also a good why for author to let their readers know how the next chapters of one of their stories are coming along. Not to mention that it’s a good place to let of some steam if you’re angry about something. You can just ramble away in your journal.
8. An interesting fact about you: Mhm, I’ve got a passion for US horse racing? There aren’t a lot of horse races in Norway, unless you like trotting, so I fell for US horse racing two years ago.
9. Are you in love/have a crush at the moment: I’ve never been in love to be honest, so nope.
10. Favourite place to be: Out on the ocean with friends.
11. Favourite lyric: To many to pick one I think.
12. Best time of the year: the spring and the summer when the boat season starts up again.
13. Weirdest food you like: Well, I kind of feel for deep-fried octopus one time when we were in Turkey. It tastes a bit strange, but not bad at all :)
RECOMMEND
1. A film: Too many really. But, lets say The Mummy, and The Mummy Returns. I love those movies. Then there are Into the Blue and of course all the PotC movies.
2. A book: All the books by Clive Cussler in the Dirk Pitt series.
3. A song: I one of those persons that can listen to almost everything, so I’m not able to pick one I’m afraid.
4: A band: No, I don’t know much about music and even less about bands.

4: What are you studying/What are you working as: I am a Research Consultant in a recruitment company.
5. What makes you happy: Oooh. Watching my fave TV shows, listening to my favourite music, being with hubby, reading a really good book, shopping.. :D
6. What are you listening to now/have listened to last: Umm.. Leann Rimes' album - I think it's called Family. My mum got it me for Christmas.
7. What is particularly good/bad about my LJ: Good: Interesting discussions about writing etc. Bad: Not enough fic! :lol:
8. An interesting fact about you: I was born left-handed but sprained my left wrist when I was 3, starting using my right hand instead and never changed back.
9. Are you in love/have a crush at the moment: Yup. In love with my lovely hubby.
10. Favourite place to be: Scotland, particularly the area round Inverness.
11. Favourite lyric: Oh wow. Tough question. Of the top of my head, the lyrics to Sarah McLachlan's Full of Grace; particularly, "It's just that we've stayed too long in the same old sickly skin".

13. Weirdest food you like: Ummm. Black pudding? That's kinda wierd isn't it?

1. A film: One I've seen recently that I really liked was Half Nelson. As far as classics go His Girl Friday
2. A book: One Of Us - Michael Marshall Smith. I love this book with a passion.
3. A song: Oh that's so difficult. Fans by Kings of Leon was probably my favourite single of last year so I'll go with that one.
4: A band: The Fratellis, they're pretty mainstream now but the album is fantastic anyway.

5. What makes you happy: Books (well-written), fountain pens, things that spin, singing, a finished story, being at home.

7. What is particularly good/bad about my LJ: About your LJ? Um, I like the discussions you host about the portrayal of Sheppard and that sort of thing. I do wish the content was a little less whump-heavy, since it sometimes gets in the way of me being able to enjoy your stories
8. An interesting fact about you: About me? That's a tough one. I've been stabbed in the throat about ten times? (I'm a fencer. No blood involved.)

10. Favourite place to be: Home. Pretty closely followed by the sanctuary at St. Anne's Episcopal Church.

4: What are you studying/What are you working as: I'm the supervisor in the layout department of a daily newspaper. I recently went down to part-time to make a serious effort with my original writing.
5. What makes you happy: Being inside with a cup of tea and a warm sweater and my computer or a good book, while rain or snow falls outside
6. What are you listening to now/have listened to last: U2, "With or Without You" is playing in iTunes ... well, it was when I wrote this out for Ali, but now we seem to have moved on to "Think About It" by Stevie Nicks
7. What is particularly good/bad about my LJ: I really enjoy your character/writing meta discussions. As noted over at Ali's LJ, I'm kind of a freak for having custom comment pages turned off; usually I'll click on a discussion in your LJ and then switch to format=light because I find the layout difficult to read.

An interesting fact about you: My house is built on old gravel tailings from gold mining, and they're full of random turn-of-the-century junk (like old horseshoes) and, also, lots of Ice Age fossils of bison and mammoth. I have a box of bison horns and mammoth teeth and such things in my attic. The dogs find them for me -- I guess they must smell like "real" bones, because the dogs love to dig them up.
9. Are you in love/have a crush at the moment: Yes, I've been with my partner for 13 years (gak!) and I fall more in love with him each day.

4: What are you studying/What are you working as: I'm a freelance editor, as well as working for two magazines, and studying a few various subjects as well.
5. What makes you happy: Lots of things... Most frequently, having a good book to read :)
6. What are you listening to now/have listened to last: The Pride and Prejudice soundtrack.

What is particularly good/bad about my LJ: I love reading your thoughts on writing, fandom, SGA, Shep, etc. So often you'll put down in a very intelligent way thoughts I've had myself but hadn't taken the effort to make so coherent - or give me a new perspective on something that hadn't occurred to me before. Hehe, and the lovely stories too, of course!
8. An interesting fact about you: Hmm... I've never been to school - was homeschooled preschool through highschool, and am taking college courses through distance ed. Dunno if that's interesting, really...
9. Are you in love/have a crush at the moment: Nope.
10. Favourite place to be: Oh, so many wonderful places... but probably my favorite would be in the woods.
11. Favourite lyric: Huh... can't think of a favorite one atm.
12. Best time of the year: I love winter! But I also really like spring. And fall. And summer, when it's not horribly humid...
13. Weirdest food you like: Sprickle Pickles! My dad's invention, when left on his own to get my siblings and me a snack when we were little, which has become a family tradition: Dill pickles, sliced in half lengthwise, with honey and cake sprinkles on top. Surprisingly good.

1. One thing you like about me: LOL, well obviously your writing ability! I suppose... the fact that you're such a thoughtful writer (in the sense of thinking deeply, though I guess considerate applies as well). Even in fanfiction, you're not content with mediocrity, or willing to write something that's been done dozens of times before (unless you have a unique and interesting take on it) - and at the same time you keep your stories fun, and easily accessible.
2. Two things you like about yourself: Oh yikes. Good grief, I hate questions like this. Umm... I suppose the fact that I really enjoy helping other people, especially with writing, but (at least according to the writers I've helped/worked with) I don't get overbearing or irritating about it. And... the fact that I've got a really good memory?

Actually, I just put stargate atlantis as one of the things we both like, but I know you like lost as well, and probably a lot of other things. Such as Chuck? Or perhaps, Heroes? In any case, I'm sure we have more in common. BTW, I've read more books than the one I posted since then.
