I finally went to see a doctor! Yay! Okay, a throat, ear and nose or whatever specialist, but still better than nothing. We discussed my current nausea issues, tossed out a couple of possibilities for why I keep feeling like crap. When I told her about the pains in my neck, she checked my neck, said it was a little out of whack and realigned it.

Oh. My. Gosh do I feel better. Better than I have in a long time. There's still a few ache issues but I blame that on the weather (sudden changes in pressure kill me, and living in Kansas during spring-storm time doesn't help.). Today is the first day I haven't felt slightly queasy every two minutes. Does this mean I can write without issues? Man I hope so.

Oh, and for all those who wish they were taller - swallow that wish, it isn't worth it. There are several possibilities for why my neck went out of whack, but sitting at desks not meant for people my height hadn't helped. Now that I know what the problem is, though, and what I can do about it, hopefully I'll be able to keep this from happening again. Blast you vertebra!

And if the queasiness does come back, then it's time to get down and dirty and do a blood test. My mom keeps suggesting thyroid problems since it runs in the family, and because I was losing weight at one point (which I blame on exercise and eating cereal for two meals a day) and the doctor had suggested the same. Hopefully all my woes were the cause of my neck, allergies and weather. But if not... then crap. So far, so good, though ;).

Hope you stay feeling better. It is miserable to feel "off" for so long, especially without knowing why.

Thanks. All I really wanted to know was what was, or could be, wrong and what I could do about it. I don't have insurance so can't go to the doctor whenever, which means trying to figure things out on my own and saving going to the doctor as a last resort. It's very irritating.

Well it can be irritating with insurance too and having very nebulous symptoms that the doctor just nods and says "it could be.....", give you antibiotics that don't work and you feel just as miserable. Just went through that for the first few months of this year. Two rounds of meds and still no idea how to get rid of whatever ails me. It has now been labeled chronic tonsillitis and I can get meds if I feel like I need them for the white spots OR my SIL said to take a bit of Apple cider vinegar and make them go away that way. The vinegar works better and is cheaper. I will stick with that.

Ah the thyroid. You'd be amazed at how many people have that problem. Including yours truly.

And Oh yes! on the chiropractic. Love when I go. Had a hump at the base of my neck. Gone with a few treatments.

Feel better!

Heh, don't ever let anyone tell you it rocks being tall. It doesn't. I was forever doomed in highschool to where high-waters because clothes manufacturers couldn't get it through their heads that tall women existed. and, yes, I did get made fun of for it :/

My best friend April said the same thing. She comes from a tall family. And, being tall comes with it's own sort of health problems.

Poor Big John (6ft 9in). He idolizes Arnold Swartzenegger and wants to get big like he did. John is tall and thin. He doesn't have the body type to get large. John is now a Dutch Marine in Holland. We studied martial arts together.. and now he frightens the marines he works with. He's one tuff cookie!

Heh, I may have spoken too soon as I had the most annoying headache today, just without the nausea. This is starting to get very frustrating.

I get really bad tension headaches when i stuff up my neck. Thank god that I can go to the physio whenever I want to. I love Aussie health insurance :)

I miss having health insurance. What really sucks, though, is that some doctors won't even see you unless you have it. Plus the cost for certain tests run sky-high, which is why I always try to solve the problem myself before going to see a doctor.
