What happened on NCIS! I need to know!

I saw up to where Tony and Ziva found Jenny bloodied up (dead?) in the cafe, then... I had no idea it was going to be a two hour deal, Reaper was on, we were using my sister's small TV that is a pain to change channels on and the channel that NCIS is on is barely coming in. Needless to say, I didn't see the rest.  Would it be too much trouble to ask if someone could please spoil me?

Ooo, yes indeed, the director is dead. I've only just recently started watching the show, so I may not be the best to summarize the backstory-related parts, since I'm not sure how many pieces I may be missing...

The black guy who's been temporary director (Leon?) is now the director. Abby is grieving, there was some sweet team comforting and interaction, Tony is very upset at his failure to protect Jenny... Gibbs went just a bit rogue for a while, and in the course of the investigation of the director's death there's a bit of showing where the team's ultimate loyalty is to Gibbs, while still being committed in their jobs and not wanting to defy the new director...

In the end, it turns out that in their mission way-back-when Gibbs and Jenny had been sent to kill two people - Gibbs killed his man, but Jenny couldn't bring herself to kill the woman. The woman was in love with the man Gibbs killed, comes for revenge while Gibbs is in Jenny's house, the man who was helping Jenny earlier (Gibbs' former partner, I think?) kills her, and Gibbs and he end up burning down Jenny's house to hide the evidence. The new director knows, but the whole matter of Jenny's death is being covered up anyway, so he's not taking official action about it (and technically her death was sanctioned, even if it was nine years ago...). The official story is that there was a gas line explosion that burned Jenny's house, and she was killed in the fire.

It ended up with Ziva's exchange position being terminated, McGee being transferred to a different department, Tony being assigned as an Agent Afloat on a ship, and Gibbs being assigned an entirely new
team. So... can't wait to see where they're going with this one.

Um, hope that's coherent enough as an explanation... If it's confusing or you want more details, ask and I'll try to explain further. ;)

If you have highspeed you can watch the whole thing on cbs.com - otherwise, its gonna be an hour and a half or so before I have it watched and can spoil you. :)

Yeah, that's what everyone keeps saying, but we only have dial-up and can't get high-speed where we live.

*nods* Padawan_aneiki has that problem, too. And in truth most of the time I don't have highspeed either. I have a wifi card. It's faster than dial-up, but no where near highspeed. I can download things from iTunes; takes 7-8 hours to download, but still doable. Otherwise, I wait till the days I'm off and then I borrow a family members highspeed to catch up on things.
