I've come to realize that I am part of a family of geeks. Every single one of us - geeks. My brother was into RPGs, was and still is into Star Wars and Star Trek, knows everything there is to know about computers and has a blog. My oldest sister read and still reads fantasy books (as does all of her kids), my second oldest sister likes cartoons and got us all into The Simpsons, my youngest sister loves Mangas and Marvel Comics. Then there's me, my fantasy, my fan fic, my LJ, my obsessive SGA love. Every single one of us can quote every single line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail and certain episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus...

Yep. We are one big happy, geeky family, we are :D Next summer we're planning on having a family reunion at Yellowstone National park, and I can't wait. The Monty Python and the Holy Grail quotes will fly!

I don't get into Monty Python too much, but even I have to admit that the Holy Grail is hysterical. At the Ren Faire here in Pennsylvania they have two guys with coconuts that gallop all around the Faire. Cracks me up every time I see them.

My one brother and I read all the fantasy stuff. I can almost guarantee if I have read it, he has read it. He actually got me started in the genre. He would take me to the library when I was little and help me pick out books.

**makes note to self to get back into reading books** There is just so much fanfic I am behind on (like lots of your stuff) that I have been reading books lately.

I have the same problem as parisindy. Not one of my family members likes the same things as I. A friend had me take a test tonight that pretty much documented that I am a nerd, not so much a geek. Thought for all these years that I was a geek. Nope. Nerd of the first order. That's okay. I am what I am.

I adore Monty Python and Michael Palin. Everything they do is hysterical.

I'm one of ten and most of us can quote TV shows. My younger brother used to be able to quote the script of the Man From Snowy River! And my nephew whose 6 can quote the power rangers!

What's the difference between a geek and a nerd? Because I think I'm a bit more 'nerd' than 'geek'. :D

Mostly, it's because-though I write blogs, and read fantasy, and love computers, I'm not into some of the stuff you guys are-like Star Wars, and Star Trek, or the Simpsons. ALTHO I do occasionally enjoy an episode of Star Trek.

So which do you think I am? Nerd or Geek?
