Beta!

I need someone to do a quick beta for me who'll be able to get the story back to me before the end of the week, preferably someone not taking part in the Teyla and John Thingathon (it just doesn't feel right to ask someone taking part in the Thingathon to beta, I don't know why.) You may also get a second story to beta should I finish it by tomorrow. The second story can get back to me whenever but the Teyla and John story must get back to me before Sunday. Can anyone help me out?

Wow! That was fast (usually I've always had to wait a day before getting a reply from anyone :D) Here it comes! Oh, and I'm just sending the Thingathon story. I'll have someone else beta the second story since it's the thingathon that matters more.

I blame SGA Big Bang. Everyone's so knee-deep in that there's been no time for one-shots and short stories (and yet I still regret not participating:S.) Plus I swear we lost a huge chunk of gen-writers. There's three authors I know of who seemed to have just up and disappeared (either that or got sucked into another fandom :P).

If you want to give it a try, you can tackle the second story. I'll need your E-mail address.

Basically, you just read through the story and search out any spelling errors, flow problems (i.e. if a sentence doesn't sound right, if you think one sentence needs more commas or another needs less, etc.) and any glaring plot holes. Spelling's the big one, though.

Give a yell if you still need someone. I think I owe you a few for helping me with the Thoughtcrimes fic, and in my search for new stuff to read, I'm having a hard time finding good stuff that isn't slash. I'm notorious for missing the obvious when proofing my own stuff, but maybe I'll do better with someone else's. I think I see in my stuff what I knew was SUPPOSED to go there.

I'll take you up one your offer for my next Shep-whumper, which I'll either tackle this week or next. I have been in the biggest Shep-whump mood, I just can't seem to come up with any ideas I like (or that haven't already been done.)
