Stupid vacuum destroyed one of my cassette tapes! At some point the stupid tape fell on the floor and slid beneath the dresser and I didn't know until the stupid vacuum started eating it. Luckily it wasn't a tape I listened to a lot, but it had a song on there I loved to bits, but the kind of song I won't be able to find again because I don't know the name and it had no words to it. It was really pretty and relaxing and... now it's gone!

That's it. I'm investing in downloading songs and burning them to CD. Can anyone recommend me a good site for downloading music? Download legally, of course.

Now that that song is gone, I'll probably be plagued by the overwhelming desire to listen to it *headdesk*

I've only downloaded about 10 songs, so far, from Amazon. It's pretty simple to do. And I feel your pain; I have LOTS of tapes and have no idea the names of songs or artists. do you still have the remains of the tape? There might be a way to do something with it.

The tape is in the trash but I can dig it out easy. It's pretty trashed, but if there is a way to save that song I'm all ears.

well, if there's a way you can get the tape to me, my brother might be able to do something with it. at least perhaps listen to it, garbled and maybe place the song?
