ROTFL. Oh yes, you have my empathy. So very much. As I have often said, my own skin only has two settings: "ghost" or "toast". I either look like I've not spent so much as an hour outside in my life, or... bright red.
Considering my grandpa's history with skin cancer and his dire warnings, I don't really spend time deliberately tanning, but still... would be nice to manage a bit less blinding whiteness without going straight to tomato. XD
I think there must be some kind of conditioning involved, because I used to be able to tan just fine and now I can't. My sister was right about me "burning up" every time I go outside into the sun because I don't get out enough :/
Yeah, skin cancer makes me nervous thanks to all the stories I've heard. Now every time I get sunburned I check myself for dark moles.
