First off: Joe Flannigan really does look like a younger, skinnier, dark-haired version of Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones). That is just... all kinds of yum. (I had a crush on Indiana and Han Solo when I was five. I was a strange child.)

Second: I'd like to encourage everyone to make recommendations down at stargategenrec, because there's gotta be something out there I haven't read yet... uh, I mean... because you should. Yeah ;)

Third: It is time. I'm in need of a beta for the furture-fic/AU story that contains everything I hate, yet I loved writing it so much. Maybe two betas to get two perspectives on it.

Joe F is slowly morphing into Harrison Ford isn't he? In some photographs its really quite striking how much he looks like him - and as you say that's no bad thing.

I've noticed the Harrison Ford resemblance, too. It's especially obvious in Condemned. (I had a crush on Indiana Jones, too. ;))

I was looking at the back of a cereal box promoting the new Indiana Jones movie, and it had pictures from both the new flick and Raider's of the Lost Ark. It was the eyes that made the resemblance hit home. Their expressions, at times, are perfectly identical.

Thank you. I think what I'm going to do is have Wildcat88 look it over, I plug in corrections and changes, then I'll have you look it over.

At least I think that's how it's done when two betas are used. I have no idea, but it sounds like the easier way to go.

That's why I feel the need to express my objection here...in a kind
way......
He looks nothing like Ford who should have looked that good
when he was Flanigan's age........
Now that SGA is on vacation, I have discovered all kinds of ff
centered around Sheppard

I just hope in Season Five they liven up the plots a bit more
Some of them were really dragging in the last season e.g.
where Carter, McKay and the female doctor are stuck in
a shaft.......
I lasted half an hour.....it seemed so much longer.
Would like to see more of the type of writing that created
Conversion and The Defiant One.....
Finally, I think Carson's replacement ought to head back to the mother ship
in Firefly.....

It's in their expressions where they're similar - their crooked smiles and puppy-dog looks. It's not a similarity that's twenty-four seven, but sometimes Ford will get a look on his face that makes me think "Joe!" and Joe will get a look that makes me think "Harrison!" But it's all perspective. Some think Joe - on occasion - looks like Keanu Reeves, which I totally cannot see.

All I ever want out of a season is a good whump episode or two. Yes, they need more Conversion and Defiant One tags, and most especially somthing equal to or topping what happened in Thrityeight Minutes. I want some bloody/sick/broken/hurting shepa, dang it!

and it only makes it worse when I read:
Castles in the Sky - Sheppard is culled by a Wraith queen
and held as her pet for two months
Devil You Know - Sheppard is impaled to a hatch by flying
debris when a wraith dart hits Atlantis and the wraith in the
cockpit is NOT dead
Darkness Runs Deep - Sheppard is picked up and interrogated by,
forget who, and Ronon finds him just in the nick of time
and many more that just encourage my wanting more drama and a lot
less fluff in Sheppard centered stories in SGA...

They might be thinking of that due to
Keanu's role in SWAT where he is wearing tact gear that looks
quite a bit like when Sheppard is dressed in black instead
of the blue gear..
