For those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving (Canadian or American) What's your favorite TG food?

Me I would have to say, in order from most favorite and down:

Deviled eggs. Yeah, I could make them at any time, but I never think about doing so until Thanksgiving comes around.

Ham. Love ham to bits.

Green bean casserole. Which didn't become a tradition until my sister introduced us to it. Now I can't imagine TG without it.

Yes, I do love the turkey. Although after a week of it the honeymoon ends pretty quick.

Something I would really like to learn to make and add to the usual list of foods is shrimp scampi. I love shrimp scampi, love shrimp period, and would really like to make it a part of our usual tradition just to spice things up a little.

Jellied Cranberry Sauce, yum! and I'm with you on the deviled eggs. Also, Chicken and Dumplings. I know they're not a typical TG delicacy, but they are at our house!

Mashed potatoes with gravy! And my mom's dutch apple pie! Turkey's always good too (and whatever form of sweet potatoes we wind up experimenting with this year).

Ah, mashed potatoes. I'm a little wary of the mashed potatoes since sometimes, for us, they can come out a little - off: too dry, too wet, or with a weird texture. I shouldn't complain, though, since we use the dehydrated potatoes rather than the real ones. WE can never whip the real ones perfectly smooth. There's always lumps.

Oh, but the lumps are the best part! :P

It's my sister's first time supplying the this year, so we'll see how that goes. (Well, I expect; she's very good in the kitchen.)

2. Green Bean Casserole Oh yeah baby! ;)

3. Turkey (dark meat please!)

4. Pumpkin Pie

Dang! I was hungry already! LOL

Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone that celebrates it! :D

Heeh, but that's how you know it's delicious ;)

Mmmm, pumpkin pie. Yeah, never a good idea to talk about food when you're hungry ;) Happy Thanksgiving to you, too :D

I eat a ton of turkey all year long, but still love my turkey........
I will NOT eat stuffing of any type unless it is baked separately.
Even as a child I refused it............but do enjoy the rest.
We are fairly plain in our table. Just the basics which is fine with me
I make cranberry relish and my sister bakes pecan and pumpkin pies.
That is about it.
Have a lovely day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:-)

Yeah, I like my stuffing on the side rather than in the turkey. I'm a bit of a separate food junky. Food must not touch! (which is mostly a futile attempt, especially on Thanks Giving). But if it's gravy, that's cool. Stuffing and gravy together is the best :D

Do you eat ground turkey? We've started using it instead of hamburger and love it. It has just the right amount of flavor, not too dominating so it's all you taste, but not so underwhelmig that you don't taste anything. And, I could be wrong, but I think it's supposed to be better for you.

GMTA!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you eat ground turkey?

I love it.
I particularly love the Jennie-O Ground Turkey
I make a chili which has the ground turkey, organic canned pinto beans and diced tomatoes with green chilis which is to die for, but I also love it just sauteed in a bit of oil.............flavor is lovely.
I make homemade cranberry relish and also one with apples and cranberries which I love to have with it.

Pecan piiiiieeee. :D (My husband refuses to eat it, so I have it all to myself, YUM.) And also pumpkin pie. But mostly pecan; I only splurge on it every couple of years, since I'm the one who's going to eat the whole thing all by myself.

Dark turkey meat with cranberry sauce. (I love cranberry sauce, and yet, I only seem to eat it at Thanksgiving. Often we have cranberry sauce that my mom makes from wild cranberries.)

I never thought of deviled eggs as Thanksgiving food! My mom always made them at Easter when I was a kid, and that was the only time we ever had them, so it makes me think of spring.

I love sweet potatoes, but I don't just eat them at Thanksgiving, so that's not really a Thanksgiving-only food for me.

Happy Thanksgiving. :)

Pecan Pie is the best :D We had a friend who made us a pecan pie from scratch. It was my first time having it and I fell in love at first taste.

Yeah, deviled eggs at Easter would make a bit more sense ;) For us it was just one of those things we did that became tradition. Well, at least for me it became tradition since I'm the one who makes them ;)
